Independence Day Celebration

WHEN: Friday, July 4: 2:00 p.m. - 11:00 p.m.




Don your red, white and blue, and join us for our annual Celebration on the waterfront!

  • 2-3 pm: Buffalo Niagara Concert Band
  • 3:30pm-4:30pm: George Scott Big Band
  • 5pm-6:30pm: Big City Horns
  • 7pm-9pm: Lance Diamond
  • 9:15pm: Color guard with Junior ROTC
  • 9:30pm: Flag Folding Ceremony
  • 10:15pm: Fireworks presented by Russell J. Salvatore

Kids Activities 11am-7pm 

  • 11 am-2 pm: Explore & More Children’s Museum with Independence Day Arts & Crafts from 11-2
  • 2-7 pm: Erie Canal & Story of Buffalo puppet show
  • 2-7 pm: Balsac the Cabin Boy puppet show
  • 2-5 pm: Arts & Crafts
  • 3-6 pm: Big Bubbles
  • 4-6:30 pm: Candy Kids Spa
  • 4-7 pm: Putting green, courtesy of Lasertron
  • 4-7 pm: Messinger Woods Wildlife Care & Education Center with live birds & educational information
  • 4-7 pm: Face painting
  • 4-7 pm: Caricature Art

 Food & Beverage

  • Clinton’s Dish, Just Pizza, House of Munch, Meeting Place, Cheesy Chick, A-maize-ing Corn, Alfie’s Lemonade, & Bryce’s Ice Cream
  • Soda/water, beer, and wine available to purchase on site

Picnics/coolers will be allowed but are subject to search by security. No outside alcoholic beverages will be permitted!
