Please note: Canalside Management Group and Erie Canal Harbor Development Corporation are excited to kick off another summer concert season. With the new season comes new, enhanced event protocols that will be put in place at the Canalside Live Concert Series and other major events at Canalside. All visitors entering the venue will participate in a handheld magnetometer (wand) screening. The safety of Canalside guests is our top priority and the new procedures will strengthen and standardize the security and public safety practices for the site. Q: Where can I purchase General Admission tickets?
A: You may purchase General Admission tickets at all 17 WNY Consumer’s Beverages locations, at the Information Kiosk on the Boardwalk at Canalside and online at www.ticketfly.com. Tickets will go on sale Friday May 26th at 11am. General Admission tickets purchased at Consumer’s Beverage or Canalside’s Info Kiosk will come with a drink ticket, good for a free beer, wine, soda, or water at the concert. Tickets purchased at the door on the day of the show DO NOT include a free drink coupon.
Q: Are Canalside Live Concerts still free? A: No, there will be a $5 admission charge. Tickets purchased at Consumer’s Beverage or Canalside’s Info Kiosk will come with a drink ticket, good for a free beer, wine, soda, or water at the concert. Children under 5 years of age are free. Tickets purchased at the door on the day of the show DO NOT include a free drink coupon. VIP Tickets can be purchased at Canalside’s Info Kiosk or on ticketfly.com. You may purchase VIP tickets for all Thursday concerts at a cost of $35. VIP tickets get you into the VIP Honda Pavilion where you receive 2 free drink coupons (beer/wine/soda/water), light appetizers provided by The Dish at Canalside, private bathrooms, access to the front of the stage viewing area, and a souvenir 2017 Canalside Live Cup! The VIP Honda Pavilion is 21 years of age or older. Note: Day-of VIP tickets can be purchased for $35 at the ticket tent, if not already sold out prior to the concert.
Q: Are there any free tickets or give-a-ways available? A: Yes, Understanding that a $5 fee may not be an option for all, the Canalside Cares Program was created to provide a limited number of free tickets to each concert, along with other Canalside activities, including ice skating during the winter months. The United Way will be organizing the ticket outreach.
Q: Can I bring my own folding chairs? A: Yes, you may bring your own chairs for sitting in the General Admission area and the Honda Pavilion. No chairs are permitted in the areas indicated by signs near the front of the stage.
Q: Are cameras permitted? A: Small handheld or personal cameras are allowed. Professional cameras of any kind are not permitted without a media pass.
Q: Can I bring my dog to a Canalside concert? A: No.
Q: Is outside food or beverage permitted? A: No.
Q: May I bring in a backpack? A: No, backpacks, drawstring backpacks, and large tote bags are not allowed.
Q: What time do gates open? What time do the bands go on stage? A: Gates open at 5:00 pm for each Thursday concert. Typically, music will start at 6 pm and the headliner will go on stage at around 8pm, depending on concert start time.
Q: Are Canalside Live concerts open to all ages? A: Yes! However, the Honda Pavilion VIP is 21 and over only.
Q: Are concerts rain or shine? A: Yes. For the safety of our patrons, concerts will be cancelled in the case of severe weather – i.e. thunder, lightning, or very strong winds.
Q: I want to dock my boat for a concert. Do you take reservations? A: No dock reservations are allowed for concerts or paid special events. Rafting of similar-sized vessels is mandatory if no dock space is available. For dock rates, visit our general FAQ Page.

Visitors attending the Canalside Live evening concerts throughout the summer are encouraged to arrive early to ensure orderly entry into the concert. Gates open at 5 p.m. for VIP ticket holders; the VIP entrance is located at Main and Perry streets. General admission opens at 5:00 p.m. The entrance for General Admission is located on Hanover St. There is no re-entry allowed to the Canalside Live concert series.
NEW: Gates will close at 9:30 p.m., no entry will be allowed after 9:30 p.m. In addition, any patron who is ejected from the concert and attempts re-entry will be charged with criminal trespassing. No backpacks will be allowed at Canalside Live concerts.
All bags and person are subject to security inspection. The following information is designed to assist in expediting the entry process.

- ALL METAL
- Bags – Bag Policy – only diaper bags and small purses (5″ X 7″ clutch bags) are permitted
- Cell Phones
- Electronic devices
PROHIBITED ITEMS AT CANALSIDE CONCERTS
- Weapons of any kind
- Backpacks/Drawstring Bags/Large tote bags
- Illegal drugs/drug paraphernalia
- Glass containers
- Outside food or beverage, including coolers
- All professional video and photo cameras
- Recording devices
- Selfie sticks, Tripods or Monopods
- Laser pointers
- Air Horns
- Animals (unless a service animal)
- Bicycles (within the secure perimeter)
- Any item deemed inappropriate or dangerous by security
In addition, this season there will be new protocols regarding alcohol consumption.
- Any guest who is deemed intoxicated upon arrival will not be permitted to enter.
- Anyone under the age of 21 who has alcohol on them will be ejected from the site.
- Any adult who provides alcohol to somebody under the age of 21 will be ejected.
- Staff may ask for proof of age from anyone wishing to purchase alcohol.
- There will be a maximum of two beers sold to any one person at one time.
- Anyone who staff believes to be intoxicated will be immediately ejected.
